Pakistani actress Veena Malik

Controversial Pakistani actress Veena Malik has hogging the headlines for all the wrong reasons. First, it was for her controversial cover picture in a leading magazine and then, for going off the radar for a couple of days at a go. And when one attributes all these activities as a desperate publicity seeking measure, the actress who went topless recently, gets on top of sympathy mode.

 Veena claims that she was under stress and hence went off to sleep after taking antibiotics. "Before going off to sleep, I called up my mother and informed her that I am going to sleep and will call her once I am up," says Veena. Prod her about who the mysterious friend was and the answers are as nude as the pictures she posed for recently. This is the very actress who had claimed that Ashmit Patel was her only friend in Bollywood but didn't think about him even once before the long 'nap'.

 The actress will soon be seen on television with her swayamvar show. Ask her if the 'close friend' will be seen at the swayamvar, and there is no answer. Another question that she sleeps through is the name of the antibiotic that put her to sleep. Not long ago, Veena was in the news for her bold pictures, which again seemed like a publicity stunt. Defending herself she says, "Well, I cannot stop anyone from thinking what they do. All I can say is that I am not capable of two publicity stunts in a time span of 15 days."

 If we read between the lines, we understand that she was responsible for one publicity stunt for sure. So, which one was the stunt? We wonder.
